Cycling at Shoreham

A non-profit bicycling organization, the Minnesota Cycling Center, has proposed building a $20-25 million complex that would include a velodrome (bicycle racing track) on the eastern edge of the Shoreham Yards area (just off Central Avenue). Minneapolis City Council member Kevin Reich (Ward 1) is hosting a community meeting on Tuesday, October 8, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., at Columbia Manor, 3300 Central Avenue, to discuss the proposal. The Journal has the story.
