Review / Comment on City Goals

The Minneapolis City Council is now in the process of approving the City’s vision, values, goals and strategic directions that will guide the City’s work for the next four years. On this site, you will be able to review these draft documents and learn about opportunities to provide feedback.

Opportunities for public comment on four-year goals:
*   Contact your council member
*   Public Hearing: Committee of the Whole on March 5th at 10:00am in Room 317, City Hall
*   Online Public Comment: This draft is posted for public comment which will be open from February 19th thru March 14th. Written comments are encouraged and can be submitted to citygoals@minneapolismn.gov.

Public comments received during the public comment period will be included as part of the public hearing for submittal to Committee of the Whole for goal adoption on March 26th. For e-mail comments to be included in the public record, you must include your name and address.

Next steps and how the goals will be used:
The draft for public comment will be open until March 14th. At that time, the draft will be revised and adopted on March 26th at Committee of the Whole. Beginning in April, departments will use the new four year goals, strategic directions and values to begin crafting their individual departmental business plans.
