Public Hearing on Hi-View Park Pool Plan and Columbia Park Picnic Shelter on November 5th

A public hearing is planned for 6:30 on Wednesday, November 5 at the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, 2117 West River Road North.

If approved, the recommended concept for the wading pool will be constructed in the spring and summer of 2015.  The new wading pool will generally be the same size and in the same location as the previous wading pool, and will meet current accessibility and safety standards.  The concept for the new pool has been developed through community meetings, an online survey, and surveys taken at the park and at neighborhood events.   Click HERE to view the proposed pool concept.  Part of the plan is to save the current turtle and place it elsewhere in the park, and add a new turtle slide to the pool.

At the same meeting the public hearing on the plans for the Columbia Park Shelter will be held.  Click HERE to see the proposed plan for the project.

All those attending the public hearing will have an opportunity to review the plans and share their comments with the Planning Committee of the MPRB Board of Commissioners.  If you are interested in speaking, you may sign up until 6:25 pm.  If you require language translation or other accommodations, please call 612-230-6472 at least two business days prior to the hearing.
