2015 Local Food Resource Hubs Seed Distribution
The Hubs are community based networks of residents, organizations, and businesses supporting each other to grow, cook, and preserve fruits and vegetables and increase health and access to fresh food.
The Northeast/Southeast Seed Distribution will be on Wednesday, April 1st from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Waite Park Community Center located at 1810 34th Ave. NE, Minneapolis.
Seeds available: Herbs: Basil, dill, cilantro, parsley; a variety of fresh and dried beans, beets, broccoli raab, cantelope, carrots, swiss chard, collards, corn, cucumbers, kale, mustard greens, a variety of asian greens, lettuce, scallions, parsnips, snap peas, pumpkin, radish, spinach, summer and winter squash, turnips, and watermelon

MINNEAPOLIS PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED 2015-19 CONSOLIDATED PLAN

You are invited to comment on Minneapolis’ proposed FY 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan. The 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan covers the City’s application and Five-Year Strategy for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant Program (ESG), and the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) federal entitlement funding.
The Consolidated Plan is an application to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) articulating the City’s housing and community development strategies for low- and moderate-income residents at or below 80 percent of the metropolitan median income level.
We invite your participation by speaking at the hearing and/or submitting written comments before, during, or after the hearing on April 7, 2015. To have your name placed on the Public Hearing Speakers List, call (612) 673-2219. Please indicate if you will require any accessibility assistance or interpreter/translation services.
On April 17, 2015, the City will submit its 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan to HUD. It will include the 2015 budget for the HUD entitlement funds the City expects to receive beginning June 1, 2015.
