Happy Holidays and 2014 Wrap Up

The Columbia Park Neighborhood wishes you and yours a Happy Holiday Season.  Our next meeting is Monday January 26th…this is the 4th Monday due to the MLK holiday on the third Monday.

These are the things your neighborhood group did in 2014…

Roadside Greening with MNDOT, grant received and project planted with assistance from Hennepin CO Sentence to Serve and neighborhood volunteers….need to keep it alive one more year for warranty, NRP fund transfer completed to pay for CPNA expenses for the project.

8 of 10 Raingardens installed with Metro Blooms

2014-16 CPP NPP plan completed and approved by NCR, first allocation of funds received

Website refreshed

Worked with Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board resulting in new plans for playground and pool at Hi View as well as upgrades to picnic shelter at Columbia Park, construction to begin in 2015

Held Earth Day event

Puppet Show

NNO at two sites (let’s aim for more in 2015)

Annual Meeting rained out in June, held in August….need a backup plan  2015

Commented to CPED on 81 St Anthony Parkway project in tandem with CCMT

Worked on St Anthony Bridge project…thank you to Mike, Lotte and Dan for their multiple years of service on this project, construction to start in 2015
